Privacy Policy for SuperPrecio

This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the SuperPrecio app (bundle identifier co.apicloud.superprecio), a price comparison tool for pharmacy, pet, auto-parts, and real-estate listings. Please read it carefully. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect and why

You can use price search and comparison without creating an account. We only collect identifiable personal data if you choose to sign up for the "SuperPrecio Club." The table below details what data is processed and for what purpose:

Club account (optional)

Signing up is free and entirely optional. If you create an account, we collect your email address and your name, and our backend assigns you a user identifier. This data is linked to your identity and is used to give you access to favorites, alerts, and Club benefits. You can use all search and comparison features without signing up.

Approximate location (only to infer your country)

With your permission, the app requests your approximate location (coarse, not fine precision) for the sole purpose of inferring your country and showing you local prices and currency (Colombia, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador). Location is processed on your device and stored locally; it is not sent to our servers linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or any kind of tracking. If you deny the permission, the app still works: you can choose your country manually, and Colombia is used by default.

Searches

The terms you search for are sent to our backend to query stores and providers and return offers sorted by price. These queries do not include your user token, meaning they are not linked to your identity. In addition, your search history is stored locally on your device so you can review it.

On-device AI assistant (optional)

The app includes an optional artificial-intelligence assistant that runs directly on your device ("Edge AI"). If you choose to enable it, you download an AI model once (data, not executable code). When you use this assistant, your searches are processed locally and are not sent to the cloud for that feature. It is entirely optional, and the app works perfectly without it.

Pharmacy and medication price comparison

SuperPrecio compares prices of pharmacy products and medications as part of its catalog. We work exclusively with pricing and availability information: the app does not provide medical advice, does not recommend dosages, and does not sell medications directly. We do not ask for or collect health data, medical records, or prescriptions. Searches for pharmacy products are treated just like any other price-comparison search described above.

What we do NOT do: we do not process payments or card data within the app; we do not use advertising, attribution, or analytics SDKs; we do not track you across third-party apps or websites (App Tracking Transparency: no); and we do not sell your personal data.

3. Legal basis and purpose of processing

Performance of the service / consent: we process your email, name, and user ID to create and manage the Club account that you voluntarily request.
Consent: we process your approximate location only if you grant the system permission; you can revoke it at any time from your device settings.
App functionality / legitimate interest: we send your search terms to the backend so we can provide the price comparison, which is the app's core purpose.

4. Third parties and subprocessors

To provide the service, we share the minimum information necessary with the following third parties:

Our own backend — api.apicloud.lat: our own server infrastructure, which receives your search terms (without your identity) to return offers and, if you create an account, stores your email, name, and user ID. External stores and providers: when you tap an offer, we open the corresponding store in an in-app browser so you can complete the purchase on its site. From that point on, the handling of your data is governed by that store's privacy policy, over which we have no control.

The optional AI model, once downloaded, runs on your device and does not share your searches with third parties. We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting providers.

5. Data retention

Account data (email, name, ID): retained for as long as your Club account is active. If you request deletion, we remove it as described in Section 6.
Local location and search history: stored on your device; you can remove them by clearing the history within the app or by uninstalling the app.
Search terms sent to the backend: processed to return results to you and not associated with your identity. [TODO: specify backend log retention period, e.g. 30/90 days].

6. Your rights (access and deletion) and how to exercise them

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to request its deletion, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Specifically:

Access and correction: write to us at [TODO: support email], indicating the email associated with your account.
Account deletion: request the deletion of your account and associated data by writing to [TODO: support email]. We will process it within a reasonable time frame.
Location: revoke the permission from your device settings at any time.
Local history: clear it from within the app or by uninstalling the app.

7. Minors

SuperPrecio is not directed at minors. Because the app includes price comparison for medications and pharmacy products, it is rated for users 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us at [TODO: support email] and we will delete it.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. All communication between the app and our backend takes place over standard encrypted system connections (HTTPS/TLS). Please note that no system is completely foolproof, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or in applicable regulations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or through the available contact channels.
